Membership

Members of SSWAAL have access to a variety of professional development and networking opportunities in addition to our annual conference. Membership is also a great way to get involved with advocating for school social workers in Alabama.

In addition to involvement in statewide efforts in the Alabama Legislature and State Department of Education, SSWAAL is also connected with the School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA). Additionally, by also joining the national association SSWAA, members can take advantage of benefits including Professional Malpractice Insurance, discounts on webinars and conferences, professional tools, and monthly E-Newsletters. The annual membership calendar will follow the Alabama Department of Education fiscal calendar, October 1- September 30th.
